M4 recoil
Every number below comes from the script you buy here — measured across a full M4 magazine in Wardogs.
701 px of vertical travel across 30 shots: the M4 climbs hard. By round four or five the crosshair sits above the enemy's head, and the strongest single step measures 26 px.
From the middle of the magazine the M4 wanders right: 14 px net across 14 px of total spread. At range the second half of the mag walks past a standing target even when your downward pull is perfect.
At 800 RPM there are only 75 ms between two bullets — 30 rounds are gone in 2.3 seconds. No hand corrects consciously in that window; the pattern has to run before your finger is back up.
The script keeps a separate correction value for each of the 30 shots and clocks them at 75 ms — exactly the rhythm of the weapon. Strength, vertical and horizontal share are adjustable individually in the NR app.
M4 — frequently asked
How strong is the recoil of the M4?
Across 30 shots the M4 pulls around 701 px upwards — 23.4 px per round on average — plus 14 px of horizontal spread. That puts it at difficulty “Medium” in our catalogue.
Does the script cover the whole magazine?
Yes. It stores 30 shots at 75 ms intervals (800 RPM), which is 2.3 seconds of full auto. Keep firing beyond that and the NR app holds the last correction value; releasing the button restarts the pattern at shot 1.
Is the difference noticeable in a fight?
From the fifth round onwards, mostly. The first bullets of the M4 land by hand too; the 701 px that follow are what decides the duel.
